Known as The Regal Nubian, model Alex Walker is in the midst of a spiritual and professional identity crisis. Feeling the pressure of her fast-paced, high profile career, Alex watches helplessly as her life unravels--her fiancé betrays her with another woman; her traumatizing childhood nightmares return; and a deadly stalker invades her home and her world. Surely, this isn't God's best for her.
Officer Casey Oliver has promised Alex's brother, Zeke, he'll check on her during his visit to Los Angeles. He's unprepared, however, for the instant attraction that sparks between them, the sensual awareness that nearly singes his soul. He quickly realizes that Alex is everything he wants in a woman.
Mesmerized by Casey's easy, honest manner and the gentleness beneath his gruff but buff exterior, Alex realizes that in Casey's arms she feels safe--something she hasn't experienced in a very long time. As events spiral out of control, Alex becomes wary of everyone. No one in her life is what they seem--not her brother, her roommates, or even Casey. She realizes the key to her survival is unlocking the secrets buried deep in her mind. Desperate, she turns to God and His Omniscience for revelation and guidance.
Despite slow pacing and extraneous characters, Ms. Lee's inimitable talent for storytelling, reveals a keen understanding of God's love in our lives and a flawless ability to create riveting romantic suspense. She is definitely on the fast track to future success as a Christian Romance author.
